The E-Mat Heavy Duty Access Mats ‘non-slip’ traction surface substantially reduces slippage for efficient access of heavy plant and machinery, as well as work personnel and the public.
The demand for Temporary Access and Ground Protection is met with the strength of the E-Mat Heavy Duty Access Mats which are suitably deployed on many ground surfaces to large site areas, to protect and substantially support heavy loads.
For effective man-handable access, E-Mat Heavy Duty Access Mats are essential for temporary access and ground protection over the soft or sensitive ground within the construction, civil engineering and groundwork industries, although they can also be used within the festival and outdoor event sectors.
The E-Mat Heavy Duty Access Mats are ideal for both short and long-term projects providing access for both heavy plant and machinery but also work personnel and the public. Many of our mats have a highly engineered, ‘non-slip’ surface which substantially improves the grip and reduces sideway slippage, even in the most challenging weather or ground conditions.
They are manufactured from 100% Recycled High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and are weight tested to a maximum load of 80 tonnes on soft ground, on hard standing areas or firmer ground they can take, and have been weight tested up to 120 tonnes.
These mats have 6 strategically positioned hand holes, and can be connected with a variety of different connection systems, which makes them easy to off load from trucks or pallets. Their lightweight but heavy duty nature also reduces transport costs, as well as enabling quick and easy installation by two people.
We advise not to use Steel Tracked vehicles with any composite mats unless pre-authorised and agreed beforehand, traversing and aggressive movement on the mats may cause damage to them and the connectors and this will be the sole responsibility of the customer and user of the mats. When assessing ground conditions on site we advise seeking professional engineering guidance if there is any doubt. It is the users responsibility to assess the load-bearing capacity of the ground, and to only operate vehicles within the weight that the ground is capable of safely supporting.
