The Manhole Brace supports and stabilises trenches and excavations when working under the ground level.
This system can be used with irregular length and width areas, to fit and take the load of the excavation area, and is safe for site workers.
The Manhole Brace is a system suitable for both square and rectangular excavations from 1.6m up to 9.4m. Manhole Braces provide the perfect solution when soil conditions aren’t fit for a Manhole Box, or if cross services are involved in the scheme.
The Manhole Brace has been manufactured from a grade 50 high-yield steel, for all outer body components. All connecting pins are produced from EN16T high-tensile material. The seal components used within the system are made from polite grade 497, and the cylinders are fit to be pressurised using water and protective shoring fluid mix.
The cylinders have the ability for single or double-acting within the design range and will be fitted with a full-contact stainless steel lock-off valve. Furthermore, the Cylinders have been tested to a working pressure of 60kN compressive load.
To create a hydraulically operated four-sided support system, Trench Sheets should be used in conjunction with this Manhole Brace. This would allow for maximum safety within a working environment for manhole inspection work or new build projects.
Note: All fully tested to the working pressure and load before and after the final assembly.

Functionality
Handling & Storage
Gloves should be worn when handling this product. We deliver to site in pre-wrapped packs with pallets incorporated and banded with polyester strips, to safely transport and store using mechanical equipment. This may vary for some products.
