Conventional Fire Extinguishers are available in different types, each with its own extinguishing agent and application for these purposes:

Water Extinguisher: For Class A fires that involve ordinary combustible materials such as wood, paper, and cloth.
Foam Extinguisher: For Class A fires, where they smother the fire to cut off it’s oxygen supply.
Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Extinguisher: For Class B fires, where they displace oxygen in the air to suffocate burning flammable liquids and gases.
Powder Extinguishers: For Class A, B, and C fires, where a layer of powder reduces the chemical reaction.

In these times fire extinguishers, including self-service and conventional extinguishers, are more readily available than ever but keeping compliance with all the relevant British Standards is more difficult, especially for maintenance. The extinguishers are kitemarked to British Standards and carry a five-year warranty, and our maintenance is carried out by BAFE approved engineers so that you can be confident that your insurance requirements are also met.
