What was the project?
As a new build estate in East Sussex approached completion, the site needed to remove its welfare cabins, but persistent boggy ground made access difficult and unsafe. Heavy-duty plant and machinery were required to lift and transport the units, yet without a stable route, progress risked delays and potential damage. The team reached out to us for a dependable solution to keep the project moving.
Our solution, E-Mats Double Sided Access Mats!
132 E-Mats were deployed across the site and professionally installed and removed by our specialist team, creating a safe and secure working platform over the boggy ground. This gave operators reliable access in and out of the area, allowing the cabins to be removed smoothly without delays or issues. With no risk of sinking or vehicles getting stuck, the process was quick and efficient. The non-slip surface provided consistent traction even as mud was brought to the surface, while the heavy-duty load-bearing design easily handled the weight of the machinery needed for the lift and removal.

Result for this site
A great result all round and one we’re genuinely pleased with. Our team returned to de-install the matting as part of our service and had the chance to speak with the machine operators, who confirmed everything ran smoothly with no issues. They said they felt safe and confident moving the cabins, with full trust in the E-Mats throughout. Importantly, no additional ground damage was caused, leaving the site ready to be restored and prepared for the houses to go on sale!
