BV100 Manhole Box for Temporary Access, Ground Protection & Support.
The BV100 Manhole Box is similar to other Trench Boxes but with additional ground support, and as an alternative to using sheets and frames.
It can be used up to a depth of 5.50m using the excavate and lower method with a maximum of 2 no. top boxes. The BV100 Manhole Box is manufactured in accordance with BS EN 13331 (2002) parts 1 & 2 Trench Lining Systems along with BS 5975 (2008) Code of Practice for Temporary Works Procedures and the Permissible Stress Design of Falsework.
Furthermore, this manhole box has been designed and tested to withstand ground pressure of up to 55.7 kN/m2. Should the ground pressure of your site exceed this, or if the ground is weak or unstable, then a temporary works design should be sought from our specialist team.
Also, where there is any doubt about the ground pressure being generated a qualified soil engineer should be consulted.

Handling & Storage
Gloves should be worn when handling this product. We deliver to site in pre-wrapped packs with pallets incorporated and banded with polyester strips, to safely transport and store using mechanical equipment. This may vary for some products.
