What was the project?

A high-profile construction project was facing operational delays because heavy delivery vehicles were unable to reach the main entrance without causing structural damage to the surrounding ground. This specific area was designed to serve as a permanent vehicle access route once the project opened, therefore it was essential to keep the surface in pristine condition. Continuous transit was getting close to the risk of ground failure, which would have required a costly, time-consuming rebuild and pushed the final completion date back significantly.
To keep the project on track and avoid expensive repairs, the site team needed a way to facilitate their deliveries so the future entrance remained completely intact.

Our solution, K-Mat Roadway Panels!

K-Mat Heavy Duty Roadway Panels was the best suited solution, where the one-piece mat left the surface underneath undisturbed and in original condition. The matting was secured by metal straps to prevent shifting under vehicle weight, that ensured consistent protection throughout the entire project duration. By creating a dedicated trackway across the pavement, the system successfully allowed deliveries to enter and reverse safely without making direct contact with the sensitive flooring.
