A durable, all-weather road safety barrier that is crash and wind tunnel tested.

The Manta Barrier is made from long-lasting, recyclable galvanised steel that is powder coated for high visibility and the capability to withstand all weather conditions.
Each unit is connected to another, using a removable steel connection pin, to form a continuous barrier system.

It has been tested and maintained to safety standards, being Class A and B wind tunnel certified (depending on fence add-on used) and crash tested to W7 BS EN1317:2010, along with the support of either a 1.5m long pedestrian fence or 3m long temporary fence. For more in-depth crash testing results and degree of deflection, please refer to our specification sheet.

The additional fences allow for further safety and perimeter protection for the workforce and pedestrians due to increased height. The mesh fence extensions eliminate the need for a single connection pin.

The Manta Barrier units are extremely quick and easy to assemble by 2 people in sections, with no need for drilling, plus it can be stacked, stored and transported where required, and fits up to 144m units worth per load!
To reach angles we recommend using the Manta Barrier Corner Units and also End Units to nicely finish off a full run of Manta Barriers.

These main units are also compatible with other barriers on the market such as the MASS Barrier.

Need to knows

A risk assessment should be taken prior to use and for wind loading when using the top sections.
It is recommended to install the base units when the barrier is installed on a flat and even surface. This aids the installation of the top sections later.

Handling & Storage

Gloves should be worn when handling this product. We deliver to the site in pre-wrapped packs with pallets incorporated and banded with polyester strips, to safely transport and store using mechanical equipment. This may vary for some products.
