The K-Mat Overlap Heavy Duty Roadway Panel is a new type of temporary and portable road mat.
The overlapping design makes this panel extremely effective to create a trackway. It’s a robust solution with traction on both top and bottom surface to meet the needs for a wide variety of applications.
The K-Mat Overlap Heavy Duty Roadway Panel is the pinnacle of heavy-duty ground protection, engineered specifically for the most demanding environments.
Unlike standard mats that butt up together and connect, this mat features an overlapping/underlapping flange for a continuous rigid surface. It prevents mud and water getting between or under the joins, and ensures the roadway remains stable, even on shifting or waterlogged ground.
These panels can comfortably support heavy mobile cranes, drilling rigs, and road hauling (depending on ground conditions) to create access routes over swamps, bogs, and marshland without sinking into the terrain. The K-Mat Heavy Duty solutions are best suited for heavy-haul routes, crane and outrigger pads, oil and gas drilling pads, military sites, and temporary site compounds on extremely soft or sensitive ground; through its ability to distribute immense weight while protecting the underlying terrain ensures projects keep moving regardless of the weather.
Designed in the UK and manufactured in Europe, the K-Mat Heavy Duty Roadway Panel is manufactured as a solid one-piece mat, utilising a unique compression moulded production process. In addition, we can also apply reflective markings for safety in low visibility or night conditions as an option.
Need to knows
We advise not to use Steel Tracked vehicles with any composite mats unless pre-authorised and agreed beforehand, traversing and aggressive movement on the mats may cause damage to them and the connectors and this will be the sole responsibility of the customer and user of the mats. When assessing ground conditions on site we advise seeking professional engineering guidance if there is any doubt. It is the users responsibility to assess the load-bearing capacity of the ground and to only operate vehicles within the weight that the ground is capable of safely supporting.
A site limit must be adhered to when using this product.

These mats can be connected together using the integrated overlap-and-twist connection.
Gloves should be worn when handling this product. We deliver to site in pre-wrapped packs with pallets incorporated and banded with polyester strips, to safely transport and store using mechanical equipment. This may vary for some products.
